• 2006 - 2009: Royal Society of Edinburgh Scottish Government Personal Research Fellowship. Held in the School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh.

• 2005 - 2006: Research Associate in the group of Prof. R.J. Cava at Princeton University.

• 2002 - 2005: PhD research under supervision of Prof. J.P. Attfield, University of Cambridge (Jesus College).
